4th Grade Blue Beats White
“They’re big, they’re mean, they’re nasty… They have blue uniforms.” said Coach Richie Taylor before the 4th Grade matchup. Coach Taylor was right.
Saturday, September 27th at Smith Robinson turned out to be a display of Blue power when Brian Clay’s 4th Grade team ‘visited’ the 4th Grade White. What has been called Coach Clay’s “most talented group ever” showed their might, winning a lopsided game against a valient effort from the White Squad.
Defensive Player of the Game for Blue, Solomon Gross
had another outstanding effort. Gross spent most of the game in the White backfield, containing the White’s standout runningback Peyton Taylor.
The White Squad had a few bright moments, pulling out all the stops to try and generate some offense. Quarterback Michael Panis conected on some downfield passes, and a sure touchdown was dropped on a halfback pass attempt.
In the end, the Blue team simply outperformed it’s foe. Quarterback Luke Hales managed the game effectively with runs and passes.
