5th Grade Blue handles Boonville

5th Grade travels to Hartford to take on the Boonville Bearcats in a Defensive struggle:

On another great night to play football the 5th grade Blue team traveled to Hartford to take on the very talented Boonville Bearcats..

Offense moved the ball  down the field on there first drive with JaxBurgess ending the drive with a 20 yard touchdown scamper. The offensive line was outsized but showed a lot of heart through the game as they opened up holes for the Hunter Pogue and Dillon “D-mac” McBride to get through. Seemed the Pittbulls moved the ball up and down the field all night before stalling deep into Bearcat territory. Late in the game the Offensive line blocked to perfection as they sprang D-Mac to the outside for a 20 yard touchdown run. All you could see coming to the outside was the red shoes, that threw the bearcats off enough for him to almost go untouched into the endzone..

On the Defensive side of the ball, It was great the Bearcats was off their game all night with the speed and great defensive pursuit of the Pittbulls, Jacob McClure and Grant Griffin led the way all night with speed and great defense, All the defensive line needs to be congratulated they stuffed the run and made the quarterback throw the ball before he wanted to.

Overall, another dominating effort by the 5th grade blue, going up against an older bigger Boonville team..
